Interview #398: Jonathan Cherry

Jonathan Cherry (b. 1986) is currently based in Stafford, UK, where he documents subjects with a careful eye. He also runs Mull It Over, which features innovative contemporary photographers from around the world.

q: What’s been keeping you busy lately?
a: I’m BANG in the middle of moving house so juggling photography work and moving house has been keeping me very busy. Early mornings & late nights to say the least.

q: Do you like pigeons?
a: I’m quite fond of pigeons yes. There is also a great font called Pigeon by Lost Type.

q: What is your favorite shape? Circle, square or triangle?
a: Square.

q: What do you like or not like about traveling?
a: One of my favourite things about traveling is visiting local markets. I’m not keen on being stared at.

q: Do you have a favorite shade of blue?
a: Light.

q: Upcoming projects or ideas?
a: I have a few things I’d like to photograph. The first is a homing pigeon breeder down the road from where we have just moved to - I would like to photograph him. I would also like to photograph a Roller Derby team.

a: Asgeir & Luke Sital-Singh.
